There are various on- and off-campus spaces dedicated to student learning in design, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Biological and Agricultural Engineering Shop
The Biological and Agricultural Engineering (BAE) Shop provides support services to UC Davis Research Projects through the design and fabrication of equipment.
Center for Nano and Micro Manufacturing
The Center for Nano and Micro Manufacturing (CNM2) provides the UC Davis campus community with a full spectrum of state-of-the-art micro-nanofabrication equipment, processes, and services. The Center enables nanometer-scale lithography, deposition, etching, and characterization capabilities for leading-edge research in electronics, optics and biomedical devices.
Diane Bryant Engineering Student Design Center
The Diane Bryant Engineering Student Design Center (ESDC) provides manufacturing education, resources, and support for students of every engineering discipline as they work on projects for classes, research, independent study, and student design competition clubs.
D-Lab
At the UC Davis D-Lab, students and staff work toward solutions to challenges through experiential courses, international satellites, global outreach and research. D-Lab offers a variety of client-focused, project-based courses at UC Davis open to both undergraduate and graduate students. In these courses, students work on real projects to perform feasibility studies then design, build, and test prototypes using technical, social, environmental, and economic lenses.
Student Startup Center
The Student Startup Center is the hub for entrepreneurship and innovation at UC Davis. The center offers a variety of technical and non-technical resources to students interested in all stages of the entrepreneurial process.
Translating Engineering Advances to Medicine Lab
Translating Engineering Advances to Medicine (TEAM) lab is a campus development core facility, open to all. The lab is focused on manufacturing mechanical or electro-mechanical devices. It typically operates in support of research endeavors, or private-party prototyping/development.
